Cartoon Invite Ordering Process
How the process works and the items that will be needed.
Please make sure to read all of the details below carefully before ordering. Print a copy for reference.
Please note: The final result is meant to resemble the guest of honor and not be meant to be an exact replica. If you have any questions about the quality of the product . All sales are final there are no returns, refunds or reprints.
Photographs: To start I will need 3 photographs of the guest of honor. I will need 3 pictures so that I can choose the one that will work the best. Make sure it is a very clear photo and the must be face larger than a quarter in the original picture. Close ups work the best. Professional photography can only be used with the written consent of the photographer. Please contact me before sending professional photos. Photos can be mailed or emailed. Mailed photos will be returned with the invites. Emailed photos need to be sent at a high resolution. Low resolution or unclear photos I cannot use. When emailing photos send the original file that is located on your computer. Images from photo sharing sites (flicker, kodak and facebook) will not work. Please contact me with any questions on how to get high resolution photos.
*Note: When I create the image I choose only one image that I know will work the best. The other two photos I do not use in any way. I use that photo as a template that I draw on top of. So what the person looks like in the photo I choose is exactly what they will look like in the final cartoon. Please try to then choose photos that you like everything from their hair to the expression on their face even the way they are smiling. Make sure that you like all photos equally because I will choose the one that works the best. Photos must reflect the current hairstyle. Do not send photos with hats or sunglasses.
Wording:The wording on the invitation is just an example. Send the party details just as you would like them worded on the invitation with spelling checked. I will then arrange the type to fit the invitation. The text needs to be emailed. I accept Word and Excell documents or you can include it in an email. I am not responsible for any text errors included in your text. I do not review your text for missing info or spelling errors. When reviewing the proof please double check your text.
Proof: Your proof will be emailed 4 business days after the photographs and payment have been received. At this time you should review the proof and determine what changes or corrections need to be made. Please note illustration is meant to resemble the guest of honor and not be an exact replica. Once you have approved the proof no further changes can be made. Orders are sent to professional printer after approval.
Changes: Almost all orders will require at least one set of changes. A total of 3 sets of changes will be allowed. Any additional changes will be a $5.00 charge per set of changes. When reviewing your proof please compare it to the photo used. Changes allowed are adjustments to the illustration created. Here are some examples of changes allowed.
1. Eyes can be made smaller or bigger. Color can be adjusted.
2. Nose can be made smaller or bigger
3. Face can be made more narrow or fuller.
4. Mouth can be made smaller or larger.
5. Hair color can be lighted or darkened.
6. Skin color can be lighted or darkened.
All changes requested must be approved before the order is mailed out. If changes are needed you will receive them the next business day at the latest. To create a new face from scratch will be an additional $20 charge. If no communication is received after proof has been emailed within two weeks order will be mailed as is.
Shipping: You have a choice of Priority Mail Shipping (2-5 business days) and Express Shipping (1-2 business days). If you need your invitations quickly I recommend choosing Express shipping. Orders will be mailed out 4 business days after proof has been approved.
Turn Around Time: From the date that all info and payment has been received it will be 10-14 business days until you receive your invitations. (there may be delay if proof is not approved right away due to any changes or corrections)
Rush Orders: If you need your invitations faster than 10-14 business days it will be an additional $25.00 charge. Your proof will be received in 1-2 business days.
